Since the spring of 2006, the community consists of Anna Verberne, Karen Jonkers Arie van den Brand, Jupp Reichert, and Ida Sabelis. New members have started to finish their rooms: Mique Huijbregts and Jan Wentink moved in november 2006.
Anna Verberne, born and raised on a farm in the South of The Netherlands (Brabant - De Peel). She is very much attached to 's Hertogenbosch, has however accepted the challenge to move to the North after years of 'flirting' with the North-Holland skies and canals. Her background is a specific combination of modern dance, acrobatis and martial arts, also rooted in adult education. At present she is working as a Iokai Shiatsu therapist and as a teacher of the Feldenkrais Method. In 'de Nieuwe Proef' she is involved in the development and design of the gardens. Anna is godmother to Sara and Noortje.
Karen Jonkers, born in Uithoorn (South of Amsterdam), she studied Communication in Amsterdam and, during that time, moved at least ten times within the city before leaving for Het Gooi (East of Amsterdam). Somewhere along the line, a house inspired her to start loving nature, causing a longing that could only be satisfied by really moving to the countryside. She is a flexible person, which trait serves her well in her work as a consultant of corporate change with Atos KPMG Consultancy - always going into other firms and cooperating with new colleagues. Apart from this, she is a mime performer and trainer - coach in the field of communication - the latter offering the opportunity to work in one of the surrounding buildings of the farm: space for development of training and coaching jobs.
Arie van den Brand, farmer's son from the South Holland isles, lives close to Wogmeer since 1983: in community "De Thuiskomst" in Hensbroek. After a long and hectic career in the areas of national and international agricultural and farmers' institutes, he became a member of the Dutch Parliament in 2002 for the Dutch Green Party. A heart attack forced him to slow down. Currently, he is the owner of the orchard, which has been planted recently and which comprises hundred standard fruit trees. He combines his skills in farming with consultancy and advisory work in ORIGINE. He now lives in the front part of the house, which has a cellar....
Ida Sabelis, born and raised in the city of Haarlem (1954), to which she is very attached. She became an academic (organisational anthropology) after a career as trainer and consultant, mainly with Kantharos, consultancy for Management of Diversity in Amsterdam. She now works as senior lecturer and researcher for the department of Culture, Organisation and Management at the Free Univerisity of Amsterdam. Her passion is studying concepts of sense-making, organisation and time, highlighting paradoxical patterns in our time-use in terms of a sustainable future and organisational governance. She expects the Wogmeer project to provide a contrast to the hectic city life, a little paradise for reading and writing in between teaching, conferences and exchange with international colleagues. She is the mother of Sara and enjoys recumbent-bycicling, traveling and gardening.
Jupp Reichert, originally lived the Saarland, Germany, where he enjoyed a rural upbringing. Was trained as a builder from the age of fourteen and moved to The Netherlands when he was 25, to work as a technical jack-of-all-trades in a local community institute, Casca Heemstede. In the Wogmeer, he expects to find a different quality of life and more space for his passion: collecting, ´finding´, second hand material for recycling and building. He is convinced that many people throw away their possesions far too easily. He is a passionate builder, a cyclist and kite-surfer, a speed skater and father of Sara and Manuel.
Mique Huijbregts -Not born as a farmer, Mique Huijbregts, but busy with agriculture and green her whole working life already. Especially interested in the people side of things, like emancipation, social relations and cultural chances and threats.
Back in West-Friesland: she lived previously in Hensbroek in a community with Arie, Anneke and Tina. Always searching for ways to make life, work, living more beautiful. By living here a number of story lines flow together again. Again with Arie and finally with Jan as well in a community, daughter independent, but often enough ''home'' in the Wogmeer. Apartment is nearly ready now but already a beautiful combination of old and new and enough privacy together.

Jan Wentink -
The main part of his life not a farmer any more (before in Heemskerk, he was). But now in the Wogmeer the farmer is back again: Doing everything at the same time; planning, talking, phoning, investigating prices, maintenance, cleaning, eating with many at the table, every new visitor (preferable from the other edge of the world) warmly welcoming. Jan lived in a community before, with parents and family and others. Did a lot of managerial work, which is a welcome addition to one's CV in this huge project. He is active in the Water management (member of the board) and working hard with climate change and life in the water. Therefore he is the biggest fan of our fishing pond, created in 2006!
